Biography:

Self-taught photographer, Alberto has participated in more than 130 collective exhibits, among them "Una Sensación de lo Imposible" in Havana, Cairo, New Delhi and Berlin; "Retrato de lo Eterno" in the Contemporary Art Museum of Bogotá; "Moth" in Scotland, and "Metáforas" in the Museum of Monterrey, Mexico.
Among his individual exhibitions, we can mention "Al Filo de la Navaja" at Teatro Degollado in Guadalajara, "Homenaje a la Locura" in the "Juan Martín" Gallery, "Testimonio de una Curación" at the Gallery of Universidad de Yucatán, and "Salones de Baile" in Mexico, Hungary and Belgium.
He was awarded first prize in the 4th. Photo Biennale of INBA. He was a member of the "National Art Creators System" of the National Arts and Culture Council of Mexico from 1997 to 2003. He has been a juror in the selection committee for young artists in the National Endowment for the Culture and the Arts of Mexico and member of several selection committees awarding grants for both young and established artists in the mexican states of Morelos, Veracruz and Hidalgo.

Of Divine Grace
Mexico is a deeply religious country; it is felt and celebrated everywhere. This mystical fervor a blend between cultures and the need to believe due to the many hardships, the necessity of participating in the community, of having faith and hope, in other words, of having an identity.
My quest has been mainly an interior one, my concerns regarding all things mystical and naturally, of my identity, have driven me to photograph, many times without knowing that the outcome will be related to religion, many others seeking that very thing intensely.
